About the Role
The role involves providing technical service and support for ultrasound systems in clinical settings, ensuring reliable operation through installation, maintenance, and repair activities across the Southeast region.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure ultrasound systems at customer sites
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on imaging equipment
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with ultrasound devices
- Ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Respond to customer service requests in a timely manner
- Provide on-site and remote technical support as needed
- Calibrate and test system performance after repairs
- Follow safety protocols during equipment handling and service
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues
- Communicate technical details clearly to non-technical staff
- Adhere to service level agreements and response time standards
- Participate in ongoing product and technical training
- Support customer training for new system features
- Escalate unresolved issues to engineering or technical support
- Manage spare parts inventory and equipment logistics
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
- Work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Maintain company vehicle and tools as assigned
- Report field observations to improve product reliability
- Track and close service tickets accurately and promptly
- Follow up with customers to confirm resolution
- Adapt to evolving technical requirements and workflows
- Support product upgrades and software installations
- Maintain professionalism during customer interactions
Nice to Have
- Experience with major ultrasound manufacturers’ systems
- Certification in biomedical equipment technology (CBET)
- Prior field service experience in medical imaging
- Knowledge of DICOM and PACS environments
- Training in electrical safety standards

On-Call Requirements
This position requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule to support urgent customer needs outside standard business hours.

Regular travel within the Southeast region is expected, including overnight stays. Engineers must be able to respond to service calls across multiple states.
