Alphatec Spine is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide expert technical service for complex imaging and clinical systems within an assigned territory in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable operation of customer-owned equipment through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, while delivering exceptional customer support and adhering to safety and compliance protocols.
What You'll Do
- Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex imaging devices
- Performing corrective and preventive maintenance on customer-owned equipment within an assigned territory
- Responsible for the installation, de-installation, and relocation of new products in an assigned area
- Packing, unpacking, and inspection of new products
- Performing administrative duties including timely completion and submission of expense reports
- Completing and submitting parts requisitions
- Completing and submitting installation reports
- Completing and submitting service reports
- Completing and submitting customer complaint reports
- Completing other reporting duties as assigned
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex clinical systems
- Maintaining assigned tools, test equipment, and instrumentation
- Maintaining calibration records and assigned technical spares
- Performing on-call standby duty and travel as required
- Working unscheduled and odd hours on occasion and on short notice
- Providing technical guidance and assistance to customers as required
- Performing final calibration, compliance testing, and applications training for customer acceptance
- Adhering to and ensuring compliance with safety policies and good manufacturing practices
- Inspiring total customer confidence in abilities to resolve technical problems
What We're Looking For
- Must be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex imaging devices

- Must be prepared to work unscheduled and odd hours on occasion and on short notice
- Must provide technical guidance and assistance to customers
- Must perform final calibration, compliance testing, and applications training for customer acceptance
- Must adhere to and ensure compliance with safety policies and good manufacturing practices
- Must inspire total customer confidence in technical problem resolution
