Dell Technologies is hiring a Field Service Engineer to deliver outstanding on-site support and create a great customer experience. You will collaborate with peers and apply technical expertise, diagnostic tools, and analytical practices to provide seamless, responsive service.
What You'll Do
- Triage issues with direction from Dell support
- Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3 using Teams, Email, and Phone
- Document POA results, logs, and service report to Dell via case email
- Perform reseating, swapping, or replacing parts and upgrade firmware as needed
- Conduct server testing and validation by running diagnostics and capturing logs
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience, plus either an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline OR an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience delivering technical Field Services supporting hardware and software at client sites
- Experience in a customer facing role, including successfully reporting and presenting to all levels of the organization
- Experience working in locations where client has a large, concentrated deployment of assets and experience with networking and Fiber
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs waist high to replace components on the server stacks
Nice to Have
- Dell EMC Proven Professional Specialist Level certification (e.g., CPSD or PowerEdge)
- Industry certifications: CompTIA Tech+, A+, Security+, Network+, or Networking certifications like CCNA
Team & Environment
You will be part of the Field Service Team, providing on-site support at client locations with concentrated asset deployments.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $65,000 - $84,000
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based in Memphis, Tennessee.
