Field Sales Representative for fluid control, filtration, and handling systems in Ventura County, CA. This role involves building relationships with existing customers, identifying new prospects, and serving as a trusted advisor to support critical operations across industries like chemicals, water treatment, and life sciences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with key accounts within the assigned territory
- Find new business opportunities through client referrals, networking, and outreach
- Keep clients updated on new products, applications, and technical solutions
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate products and deliver training as needed
- Plan and carry out a daily sales schedule with a target of five quality customer visits per day
- Record customer interactions and sales activities in the ACS system at least three times per week
- Engage daily with Inside Sales, the Regional Sales Manager, and team members to align strategies and resolve issues
- Continuously improve technical expertise and sales abilities
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication, customer engagement, and presentation abilities
- Ability to coordinate team efforts and lead training sessions
- Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working with decimals, fractions, and basic algebra
- Quick learner with strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and capable of learning CRM systems
- Willingness to undertake occasional overnight travel as needed
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Two or more years of experience in industrial field sales or outside sales
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and build client relationships
- Background in industrial sales related to fluid control, filtration, or fluid handling systems
