Walter USA, LLC is hiring a Field Sales Engineer to increase sales of our products and services in the Houston, Texas territory. You will focus on target customers by providing optimal solutions through value-added selling and establishing effective relationships.
What You'll Do
- Plan sales activities through market analysis to define appropriate customers.
- Schedule and conduct productive customer visits with clear purpose and agenda.
- Engage in active listening to learn customer needs and requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to react to customer needs.
- Negotiate agreements in collaboration with customers and business partners.
- Work with internal stakeholders to coordinate and align company products and processes for optimized solutions.
- Promote the complete range of company products and services to satisfy customer requirements.
- Actively sell products and services by providing value-added solutions.
- Actively seek sales orders from customers upon agreement.
- Document and report sales activities, test reports, cost savings, and forecasts.
What We're Looking For
- Degree (B.S.) in mechanical engineering or business administration with technical focus, OR advanced technical (A.S.) degree and/or equivalent experience in the cutting tool industry.
- Several years of sales experience with industrial cutting tools where new business development is the primary focus OR several years of manufacturing experience and ability to sell in end-user and channel sales model.
- Experience in the manufacturing or distribution marketplace.
- Experience working independently from a home office or virtual office environment and traveling a significant amount of time.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must live in Houston, Texas.
