Pfizer is hiring a Field Reimbursement Manager to support its Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) business unit. This role serves as the subject matter expert on reimbursement and coverage in the assigned region, working directly to facilitate appropriate patient access to Pfizer products.
What You'll Do
- Conduct office calls with healthcare providers and office staff to support patient access and resolve reimbursement questions.
- Provide in-person and virtual education on payer landscape, coverage, formulary changes, policies, and patient support programs.
- Distribute Pfizer-approved materials on coverage, reimbursement, Patient Assistance Programs, and billing/coding guides.
- Educate on Hub financial assistance offerings, enrollment processes, and portals.
- Reactively assist healthcare provider offices with coding and claims-related issues by contacting payers.
- Compliantly use Pfizer’s designated case notes system.
- Provide interpretive information and local market insights to internal leadership on reimbursement issues.
- Effectively and compliantly communicate with stakeholders to adopt ideas, actions, or positions.
- Link customer insights to offerings and resources to address patient access barriers.
- Build trust through follow-up and knowledge of the patient access journey.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, typically within pharmaceutical sales and/or coding and reimbursement.
- Strong understanding of Specialty Drug Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and policy dynamics.
- A B.S. or B.A. degree is required.
- Demonstrated exceptional communication and presentation skills, strategic planning, and successful plan implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership and success working across internal boundaries and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated environment and adhere to strict company compliance guidelines.
- Proven track record of collaborating broadly with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Training and experience in responsible business communication both written and spoken.
- Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee the work of colleagues.
- Must reside within the territory boundaries, which include Indianapolis.
- 50% travel requirement for live customer interactions.
Nice to Have
- Additional certification in coding and reimbursement is preferred but not required.
- Coding and billing knowledge or certification is a plus but not required.
Team & Environment
The role is part of Pfizer North America and reports directly to the I&I Access & Reimbursement Regional Director.
