What You'll Do
Design and lead comprehensive training programs for field technicians, blending classroom instruction with practical, on-site learning. You'll cover fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and safety protocols using a mix of in-person labs, virtual platforms, and peer coaching. Develop and update training manuals, SOPs, and digital content to reflect evolving technologies and operational standards.
Deliver technical guidance during live fiber projects, offering real-time troubleshooting and performance feedback. Conduct field visits to observe and evaluate technician work, then use those insights to refine training approaches. Track individual progress, maintain certification records, and report outcomes to leadership. Identify skill gaps and collaborate on performance improvement plans, ensuring training translates into measurable field results.
Support operational readiness by operating equipment such as bucket trucks, trenchers, and excavators. Perform pre- and post-operation checks, manage traffic control setups, and follow strict load capacity guidelines. Work both indoors and outdoors, often traveling between sites, with flexibility for overtime, weekends, or on-call duties as needed.
