About the Role

Braeburn is looking for a Field Engineer I to provide field-based technical service support in the El Paso, TX area and Southern New Mexico. You will be vital in maintaining and troubleshooting electromechanical equipment in hospital and clinic laboratory environments, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and systems issues.
  • Determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications.
  • Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Conduct technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors, and company representatives.
  • Act as the local on-site representative to the customer's organization.
  • Manage all territory responsibilities including Preventive Maintenance and upgrades (software and hardware).
  • Provide service support in the hospital/clinic laboratory environment.
  • Manage individual parts, online training, and administrative expense reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, OR equivalent 4 years of military or field service experience.
  • Minimum 4 years experience installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment, preferably in the field.
  • Team player, self-motivated, with the ability to interact appropriately with peers, sales counterparts, and customers.
  • Ability to organize and express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Appropriate technical knowledge and ability to utilize it effectively.
  • Ability to effectively manage assigned workload within allotted time constraints.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel overnight 50-75% to Rochester, NY, for initial training.
  • Post-training ability to travel up to 75% around territory, with occasional overnight travel (1-2 nights per week).
  • Must meet Customer Credentialing requirements (e.g., up-to-date immunizations).
  • Position is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • Experience within the Healthcare or Medical Device industry.

Team & Environment

You will interact with Field Service peers (Field Engineer I, Senior Field Engineers, Area Service Engineers, Regional Service Managers, Area Service Directors), Sales teams (Area Sales Directors, Account Managers), Technical Specialists, and other internal departments.

  • Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000

Work Mode
