Solenis seeks a Packer – Pool Chemicals to handle the sealing and packaging of dry Calcium Hypochlorite products. You will be a crucial final quality checkpoint, ensuring finished goods are ready for shipment. The role involves a weekly rotation across different production stations.
What You'll Do
- Seal and package dry Calcium Hypochlorite finished goods in container sizes including 25 lb, 50 lb, and 100 lb pails and 2000 lb intermediate bulk containers (IBCs).
- Rotate through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes stations based on a weekly schedule.
- Act as the final quality checkpoint before shipment, making visual assessments and taking appropriate actions.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping for weights in the seal room and during reworking.
- Operate equipment including forklifts, lift assists, and garbage/trash compactors safely and efficiently.
- Provide instruction and assist new employees.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing augers, repairing chain breaks, repairing rolls, and tightening photocells.
- Complete duties as assigned by the Packout A operator and/or Shift Lead.
- Assist in the Process area with tasks like screen cleaning and major housekeeping.
- Serve as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member, attending training and responding as needed.
