About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for deploying and maintaining advanced autonomy solutions in the field, working directly with clients and internal teams to ensure systems operate as intended across real-world conditions.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure autonomous hardware and software at customer sites
- Conduct system diagnostics and resolve technical issues on location
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay field feedback
- Verify system functionality following deployment
- Support integration of autonomy systems with existing infrastructure
- Perform routine maintenance and updates in the field
- Document deployment processes and site-specific configurations
- Train client personnel on system operation and safety protocols
- Troubleshoot connectivity and sensor performance issues
- Adapt deployment strategies to environmental conditions
- Ensure compliance with technical and safety standards
- Coordinate logistics for deployment travel and equipment
- Monitor system performance post-installation
- Escalate complex technical challenges to development teams
- Maintain accurate records of all field activities
Nice to Have
- Experience with unmanned vehicles or drones
- Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System)
- Background in aerospace, defense, or robotics industries
- Familiarity with GPS, LiDAR, or IMU systems
- Certifications in technical or field engineering disciplines
