Conduct thorough vehicle inspections at customer locations, repair facilities, or tow yards to assess damage and determine necessary repairs. Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using industry-standard tools, ensuring alignment with policy coverage and repair standards. Engage directly with customers, technicians, and third parties through in-person visits, video calls, or written correspondence to clarify findings and support a transparent claims experience.
What You'll Do
- Generate repair and total loss estimates on-site or remotely using CCC ONE, Mitchell, or similar platforms
- Review vehicle damage to determine repairability, cost, and coverage eligibility
- Communicate claim status and next steps clearly to customers and stakeholders
- Negotiate settlements with repair shops, vendors, and claimants when necessary
- Document all evaluations and updates in the claims management system promptly
- Apply policy language accurately to protect financial integrity and ensure compliance
- Deliver service with empathy, focusing on restoring customers with dignity and care
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel locally for field assignments
- Obtain and maintain an adjuster’s license in applicable states within 60 days of hire
- Complete required continuing education and renewals to keep credentials active
- Attend a mandatory two-week in-person training program in Dallas, TX
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in auto estimating using CCC or Mitchell systems
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented approach to estimate accuracy and documentation
- Proficiency with digital tools, claims platforms, and video communication
- Effective time and task management when handling multiple claims
