Responsibilities
- Execute finite element analysis simulations, including linear and nonlinear structural behaviors, contact mechanics, buckling, fatigue, and large-deflection scenarios using ANSYS or comparable software
- Evaluate the structural integrity of cranes, lifting beams, rigging hardware, and large-scale mechanical systems
- Create 3D models, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation using CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo
- Perform manual calculations to confirm FEA outcomes and inform engineering design choices
- Lead mechanical design initiatives from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and real-world deployment
- Provide timely engineering evaluations and technical solutions to support client needs
- Produce detailed engineering reports, test procedures, and work instructions for manufacturing and field teams
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, external fabricators, and on-site technicians
- Guide junior engineering staff and participate in design validation and process optimization efforts
