Pearl Talent is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building systems from the ground up. You will be technically sharp, focused on automating workflows, optimizing the month-end close, and serving as a key partner in financial decision-making, reporting directly to the CFO.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end accounts payable, vendor setup, and compliance with 1099 guidelines.
- Manage employee expense reports, payroll entries, and bonus/commission accruals.
- Support payroll processing and track tax-related filings for state and federal agencies.
- Lead reconciliations for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and general accruals.
- Prepare accurate journal entries and manage balance sheet reconciliations.
- Drive month-end and year-end close processes in coordination with finance leadership.
- Assist in external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations (1099s, sales tax, corporate tax).
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting workflows.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls aligned with US GAAP and ASC 606.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in accounting, preferably in SaaS or public accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and experience with prepaid, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Systems knowledge: QuickBooks Online or NetSuite, Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), Ramp or Concur, Salesforce, and HRIS systems like Rippling.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects with attention to detail and clear communication.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ASC 606 and subscription billing platforms (Zuora, Maxio, Salesforce CPQ).
- Experience using Avalara or Vertex for sales tax.
- High-growth or startup experience with a 'roll-up-your-sleeves' mindset.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to broader finance strategy.
