Lead the comprehensive management of facilities within a multi-site or campus environment, ensuring all operations meet client expectations and organizational policies. This role is responsible for maintaining optimal building performance across custodial, engineering, life-safety, and site services functions while prioritizing occupant satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily facility operations, ensuring alignment with established service agreements and client requirements
- Manage vendor contracts, including regular review, competitive bidding, and verification of invoice accuracy against agreed terms
- Supervise interior and exterior maintenance programs to uphold property condition, appearance, and functionality
- Respond efficiently to tenant inquiries and service requests, ensuring timely resolution within defined service level standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records such as operating manuals, compliance logs, safety documentation, and performance reports
- Prepare and review financial documents including budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, and expenditure reports
- Support long-term planning by contributing to capital budgets and five-year strategies for maintenance, improvements, and cost optimization
- Collect and analyze operational data to assess performance and guide decision-making
- Recruit, train, and evaluate on-site personnel, fostering a productive and professional work environment
- Ensure adherence to insurance requirements for tenants and vendors, coordinating claims as needed
Qualifications
Candidates must reside in Southern Orange County through San Diego and have reliable transportation. A bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is required, along with 5–7 years of experience managing commercial high-rise buildings, campus environments, or property portfolios.
Preferred qualifications include experience in banking or retail facilities, leasing, construction, engineering, critical systems, and cost-efficiency initiatives. Familiarity with CMMS or work order systems is advantageous. Professional certifications such as CFM, IFMA, or BOMA designations are highly valued, as are additional technical or engineering credentials.
Technical Proficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Experience with financial platforms like Yardi and building management systems is expected.
Work Environment
