Amida Care is looking for a Facilitated Enrollment and Community Engagement Liaison (TGNB) to serve as a vital link between our Special Needs Plan and the Transgender and Non-Binary community. You will educate and assist prospective members with enrollment and recertification, while building strong relationships with community partners through events and outreach across New York City.
What You'll Do
- Educate and assist prospective members with enrollment and recertification into the Amida Care plan in accordance with New York State Marketplace guidelines.
- Support management in developing outreach strategies that support growth from the TGNB communities.
- Conduct outreach to prospective members via calls and site visits, including working on Amida Care's Recreational Vehicles (RV).
- Document all member interactions and activities via designated tools.
- Deliver presentations on Amida Care's benefits and services to the community.
- Participate in creating promotional materials for marketing and outreach to the TGNB community.
- Assist with event planning and implementation and actively participate in community events.
- Manage feedback between Amida Care and the community to address issues and report findings to management.
- Act as lead support for community activities and events during non-traditional work hours.
- Perform all activities and assignments in a timely, effective, and efficient way to sustain membership.
- Maintain required equipment and supplies in working order.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and corporate policies.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with the TGNB community doing advocacy or related work.
- Two (2) years' experience working in the field for a health plan, managed organization, Community Based Organization, private physician's practice, or Health Center.
- Ability to travel and work in all five boroughs of New York City.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to learn and work with user-centric electronic systems and tools including a laptop and mobile phone.
- Understanding and sensitivity to multi-cultural values, beliefs, and attitudes.
- Demonstration of appropriate behaviors in line with the organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Completion of Certified Application Counselor Training (CAC) with New York State of Health Marketplace within two months of hire and subsequent annual training.
