Optum Tech (UnitedHealth Group) is looking for a Facets Developer to design, develop, customize, and maintain critical healthcare information systems using the TriZetto Facets platform. In this role, you will translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, develop integrations, and ensure system reliability.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with business analysts to gather requirements related to claims, enrollment, billing, and provider data.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs for Facets configurations and customizations.
- Develop Facets System Integration (SI) code, Custom API code, and other custom solutions using C#, .NET, and SQL.
- Configure and customize Facets modules like Claims, Membership, Provider, and Billing.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Develop integrations with other systems using REST APIs, FXI, Batch interfaces, and EDI transactions (834, 835, 837).
- Perform unit testing and provide technical support during system integration and user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to Facets applications and healthcare processes.
- Provide production support, including on-call duty, to ensure application availability and stability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, and project managers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Act as a technical expert, providing direction and mentoring to junior team members.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience as a Facets Developer with deep knowledge of TriZetto Facets, its core modules, and data mapping.
- 8+ years of experience in Facets migrations, upgrades, and regulatory programs.
- 8+ years in the healthcare payer domain with knowledge of HIPAA standards and EDI transactions (834, 835, 837).
- Hands-on development experience with Facets custom interfaces, extensions, and REST API development.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
- Experience working in Agile environments across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- UI/UX development experience with front-end technologies like Angular, React, HTML, or CSS.
- Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL) for complex queries, stored procedures, and ETL.
- Solid programming skills in C# and .NET Framework (ASP.NET, Web Forms, Web Services).
- Familiarity with web services and integration tools like Mulesoft.
- Experience developing AI solutions using tools like Co-Pilot.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a global team.

- Knowledge of other healthcare administration systems.
