About the Role
The intern will assist in the design, validation, and testing of mechanical components for eBike systems, working closely with engineering teams to ensure performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and optimization of mechanical parts for eBike drive systems
- Conduct testing and analysis of prototypes under real-world conditions
- Create and update technical documentation for design iterations
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Assist in assembling and disassembling drive units for evaluation
- Perform dimensional checks and tolerance analysis on components
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input
- Use CAD software to support 3D modeling and drafting tasks
- Validate performance of mechanical subsystems according to specifications
- Support root cause analysis for production or test anomalies
- Monitor test benches and record data during validation cycles
- Help prepare test plans and execute test procedures
- Evaluate material suitability for mechanical components
- Contribute to failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
- Support calibration and integration of mechanical and electrical parts
- Assist in preparing samples for customer demonstrations
- Track project progress and report status updates
- Follow engineering change processes for design modifications
- Apply engineering principles to improve manufacturability
- Maintain lab and workshop safety standards
- Work with cross-functional teams on integration tasks
- Support quality checks during prototype phases
- Analyze field feedback and suggest design improvements
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
