The Executive MCL Adjuster / Surveyor will manage a portfolio of high-value commercial property claims, including material damage and business interruption, from initial investigation to final settlement. At Sedgwick, you’ll act as a trusted expert guiding clients through the claims process with professionalism and empathy, working both independently and collaboratively within the Major & Complex Loss team in Glasgow.
What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of high-value commercial property claims
- Handle material damage and business interruption claims
- Conduct initial investigations and guide claims through to final settlement
- Serve as the trusted expert for clients during the claims process
- Assess damage on-site or from home/office
- Compile detailed claims reports
- Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Collaborate with Adjusting Executives and technical specialists
- Deliver outstanding service and meet client expectations
What We're Looking For
- A full UK Driving Licence – essential for site visits
- A strong customer focus and a proven track record of delivering exceptional service
- Solid experience handling major and complex commercial property claims
- Excellent communication skills – listening, explaining clearly, and negotiating fairly
- Confidence working independently and managing your own caseload
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise and adapt
- Strong IT skills, ideally with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- ACII/ACILA or equivalent qualifications (or working towards them)
- A professional, empathetic approach to client relationships
