Sedgwick is hiring an Executive MCL Adjuster / Surveyor

About the Role

The Executive MCL Adjuster / Surveyor will manage a portfolio of high-value commercial property claims, including material damage and business interruption, from initial investigation to final settlement. At Sedgwick, you’ll act as a trusted expert guiding clients through the claims process with professionalism and empathy, working both independently and collaboratively within the Major & Complex Loss team in Glasgow.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value commercial property claims
  • Handle material damage and business interruption claims
  • Conduct initial investigations and guide claims through to final settlement
  • Serve as the trusted expert for clients during the claims process
  • Assess damage on-site or from home/office
  • Compile detailed claims reports
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Collaborate with Adjusting Executives and technical specialists
  • Deliver outstanding service and meet client expectations

What We're Looking For

  • A full UK Driving Licence – essential for site visits
  • A strong customer focus and a proven track record of delivering exceptional service
  • Solid experience handling major and complex commercial property claims
  • Excellent communication skills – listening, explaining clearly, and negotiating fairly
  • Confidence working independently and managing your own caseload
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise and adapt
  • Strong IT skills, ideally with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • ACII/ACILA or equivalent qualifications (or working towards them)
  • A professional, empathetic approach to client relationships

Nice to Have

  • Experience in account management or market profiling
