Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring an Executive Director for our Value and Risk Advisory team in Los Angeles, CA. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team and delivering superior client outcomes in commercial real estate valuation and consulting. You will be a sector expert representing the JLL brand while originating business and producing high-quality valuation reports.
What You'll Do
- Manage team members, workflow, and deliver superior client outcomes.
- Complete entire valuation reports to a 'client ready' standard.
- Originate 30% of your team's business volume.
- Manage account receivables for work you personally originated.
- Recruit team members and manage five individuals or more.
- Coach analysts, senior analysts, associates, and directors on assignments.
- Ensure team members meet educational, licensing, and production goals.
- Present at a local industry event (AI, IRWA, ULI) or publish a trade magazine article.
- Represent the JLL brand through optimism, intelligence, and collaboration as the local sector expert.
- Complete assignments involving complex highest and best use scenarios, discounted cash flow models, comparable sales, and cost analyses.
- Attend leadership meetings and ensure team messaging is communicated.
What We're Looking For
- A current state certified general appraiser license.
- Maintained state licensing for your geographic focus.
- Minimum of 5 years holding a CG license.
- Ability to sign valuation reports.
- Mastery of all Senior Director skillset requirements.
- Full competency in project and account management.
- Beginning competency in business development.
Nice to Have
- Master competency in Argus (required for national institutional team members).
- Completion of the comprehensive exam and demonstration report within 18 months of becoming a team lead, and submission of application to the Appraisal Institute (AI).
- Experience managing five individuals or more.
