Whatnot is hiring an Events Producer

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of mid-sized events tied to demand generation and category objectives
  • Assess and propose events based on return on investment, audience fit, and market context
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, sales, and account management to align event goals, messaging, branding, and staffing
  • Lead full-cycle delivery of tradeshows and experiential activations, covering booth design, build, audiovisual setup, shipping, and on-site management
  • Oversee vendor and agency relationships, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and performance against brand requirements
  • Support sales teams during peak event times by engaging attendees and communicating key messages about the platform and live shopping
  • Create and maintain detailed run-of-show plans and direct on-site execution
  • Turn creative concepts into actionable production plans
  • Manage production schedules, sequencing, and logistics from initial planning through event teardown
  • Coordinate on-site operations, including staff assignments, briefings, and training sessions
  • Resolve technical and logistical issues promptly during live events
  • Own and expand the 'Booth-in-a-Box' logistics and distribution system
  • Develop and maintain inventory tracking for event materials, promotional items, and participant kits
  • Oversee procurement, shipping, and fulfillment for all in-person events
  • Design standardized processes to increase consistency and operational efficiency
  • Develop and manage budgets for mid-sized events
  • Monitor budget forecasts against actual spending and manage variances proactively
  • Identify potential risks early and adapt plans, vendors, or scope as necessary
  • Serve as the lead for logistics and production on mid-sized events while providing support for larger events
