The Event Support Specialist will provide critical support for large-scale corporate events by managing attendee inquiries, processing registrations, and coordinating hotel reservations. This remote, full-time contract role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment. The individual will report to the Sr. Director, Attendee Support and may be required to travel for onsite support.
Responsibilities
- Assist attendees with registration processes, including ticket purchasing, transfers, and hotel bookings
- Respond to attendee inquiries via email and phone with professionalism and clarity
- Maintain thorough knowledge of event registration processes
- Serve as a liaison between attendees and event management, specifically regarding platform issues
- Support event managers in training new team members
- Complete tasks as assigned by event project managers
- Ensure all proprietary information remains confidential
- Travel onsite to provide attendee support as needed (required Nov. 28–Dec. 5)
- Assist in tracking accessibility requests, meal preferences, and other attendee needs
- Managing attendee support emails
- Processing ticket cancellations, transfers, and registration requests
- Updating hotel reservations
- Providing clear, professional communication with attendees, clients, and vendors
Requirements
- Previous experience in events, group meetings, and/or hospitality
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate event technology platforms
