Energy Trust of Oregon is hiring an Evaluation Intern

Responsibilities

  • Gather marketing and customer insights research produced by Marketing and Evaluation teams
  • Produce a summary document outlining key research topics and identifying areas needing further study
  • Analyze customer surveys and existing literature to suggest improvements for future research initiatives
  • Define scope and structure qualitative research projects to address identified gaps and questions
  • Learn to navigate and use the organization’s survey data systems
  • Carry out data analysis using descriptive statistics, trend analysis over time, regression models, and geographic mapping
  • Examine patterns in program participation, awareness, and outcomes across regions, demographics, and community types
  • Prepare research summaries in formats such as memos, infographics, brief reports, or slide decks
  • Participate in regular team check-ins, virtual all-staff meetings, and in-person quarterly gatherings
  • Share findings and deliverables with Evaluation and Marketing team members
  • Work with Communications, Marketing, Brand, and Web teams to shape public reports and materials
  • Complete additional tasks related to the role as directed

  • Internship limited to a maximum of 1,000 total hours
  • No supervisory duties assigned
  • Represents the organization in public forums and may attend community events
  • Position is part-time, temporary, and scheduled for 15–20 hours per week
