Responsibilities
- Conduct high-complexity testing using established laboratory protocols
- Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory instrumentation
- Follow strict quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation of test results and procedures
- Troubleshoot technical issues with laboratory equipment
- Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines
- Participate in proficiency testing and internal audits
- Support validation of new testing methods and equipment
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements
- Assist in training new staff members when needed
- Monitor reagent and supply inventory levels
- Perform routine maintenance on laboratory systems
- Report unusual or critical results promptly
- Follow standardized operating procedures for all testing phases
- Ensure specimen integrity from receipt through analysis
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
- Respond to technical inquiries from internal teams
- Maintain detailed records for regulatory inspections
- Work independently while adhering to team protocols
- Ensure data integrity in laboratory information systems
