About the Role

The Estimator will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Prepare and submit bids and proposals to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals.
  • Provide input on project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze project changes and their impact on cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cost estimates and project data.
  • Prepare and submit reports on cost estimates and project progress.
  • Provide input on project risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and presentations.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Provide input on project scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and financial plans.
  • Prepare and submit invoices and payments to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing.
