Twoconnect is hiring an Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive pricing for geosynthetic materials within civil engineering projects. You will review tender documents, analyze project plans, and work with internal teams and external suppliers.
What You'll Do
- Review tender documents to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Analyze and interpret project plans to identify material and cost requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive pricing for geosynthetic materials.
- Develop quotations in line with tender requirements and company standards.
- Where applicable, propose superior technical or commercial alternatives.
- Work closely with engineering, technical, commercial, and project management teams.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain optimal pricing and delivery terms.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all estimates and proposals.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities, recommending viable solutions.
- Assist in reviewing project scopes for accuracy and completeness.
- Contribute to project planning and timelines based on cost analysis.
- Manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
- Deliver accurate estimates within strict deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of estimation experience in civil engineering within the Australian market.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with containment projects (landfill, mining residual containment facilities, etc.) is advantageous.
