Parsons Transportation Group is hiring an Estimator to join our team and support a major Infrastructure Delivery Programme. In this role, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day estimation activities, ensuring compliance with client objectives, and delivering high-quality, accurate estimates for complex infrastructure projects.
What You'll Do
- Perform day-to-day estimation activities for the Infrastructure Delivery Programme and monitor performance against Key Performance Indicators.
- Review and provide comments on cost plans and other relevant documents produced by cost consultants.
- Participate in the preparation of top-down cost breakdown structures and ensure their implementation within deliverables.
- Collaborate with cost consultants to deliver quality-controlled, best-in-class pre-tender estimates, bills of quantities, and material take-offs for assigned projects.
- Ensure that changes to scopes of work, services, or supplies are correctly estimated, preserving the client’s interests and reputation.
- Provide cost predictions, including benchmarking, estimating, cost planning, and cost reporting.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and innovations in estimation processes and deliverables.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate degree required (such as BSc, BA, LLB, or similar).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in estimation, preferably in infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with various forms of contracts for delivering a wide array of infrastructure assets.
- Ability to independently perform day-to-day estimation activities and supervise subordinates.
- Extensive knowledge of the estimation function, industry practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in technologies and systems required for estimation activities.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills to model estimates and quantities using applicable standards.
- Ability to positively influence and contribute to meetings and effectively interface with the client and stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Post-graduate degree preferred.
- Prior experience on the client’s and/or PMCM consultant’s side preferred.
- Knowledge of PIF Development Companies’ operating models highly desired.
- Experience in airport or infrastructure projects is highly desired but not mandatory.
