Role Overview
As an ERP Support Engineer focused on Syteline ERP, you will maintain and enhance the performance of the organization’s ERP system. Your responsibilities include diagnosing issues, implementing system updates, and ensuring seamless integration with connected applications. You will work closely with business users and technical teams to deliver reliable, documented, and validated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing support and maintenance for the ERP application, addressing incidents and system performance concerns
- Design, code, test, and deploy modifications to the ERP platform, including forms, reports, scripts, and stored procedures
- Adjust configurations and parameters within the ERP software to align with evolving business requirements
- Collaborate on changes to integrated systems and ensure compatibility with the ERP environment
- Document technical specifications, user requirements, testing procedures, and system changes in compliance with validation standards
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery validation for third-party application components
- Respond to user inquiries via phone and email, providing clear guidance on ERP functionality
- Log and track all support incidents using the designated ticketing system
- Stay current with ERP updates and best practices by attending industry events and user group meetings
- Work under the direction of senior engineers and IT leadership to align technical efforts with organizational goals
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- Alternatively, an associate degree plus at least one year of relevant experience in software programming or business analysis
- Experience with database concepts, scripting, and PC-based applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly Syteline ERP, including database structure and reporting tools
- Familiarity with stored procedures, jobs, and vendor-supplied utilities
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Omaha, NE, requiring three days per week on-site and two days remote. The schedule supports flexibility while maintaining team collaboration and system oversight.
