SGS Australia / Fulcrum Robotics is hiring an Environmental Senior Account Manager to drive the sale of environmental analytical services to new and existing clients in New York. You will secure business opportunities to meet revenue targets and act as the key liaison between customers, the Client Services team, and lab operations to ensure customer needs are met.
What You'll Do
- Identify business leads through continuous interaction across the Environmental community.
- Proactively target and initiate contact with prospective customers to assess potential leads.
- Develop a network of industry contacts and continually qualify market conditions.
- Conduct discovery sessions with qualified leads to identify client needs and determine opportunities for SGS's full scope of offerings.
- Assess client needs against SGS's capabilities.
- Work closely with prospects to develop a value proposition and determine how SGS services will help them achieve their goals.
- Influence and promote business expansion through partnering relationships.
- Secure closure on all proposals and effectively hand over contracts to the Client Services Team.
- Communicate sales process activities using a CRM with agreed-upon KPIs.
- Provide market intelligence to the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager to assist in developing sales materials, plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Present and represent SGS at tradeshows and technical seminars to build brand awareness.
- Act as the customer's advocate within the SGS organization to ensure the customer obtains the best value.
- Set appropriate customer expectations on SGS product and service offerings.
- Represent SGS professionally and ethically in the marketplace.
- Continually develop personal selling skills, acquire industry knowledge, and broaden expertise in environmental service offerings.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science.
- 5 years in technical sales, project management, or customer service experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to build strong customer relationships and collaborate effectively internally.
- Strong leadership, self-initiative, and resource utilization.
- Solid critical thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems systematically.
- Advanced English language skills.
- Advanced reasoning and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Nice to Have
- 5 years’ experience in the Environmental Industry.
Team & Environment
Works closely with prospects, the Client Services team, and lab operations. Reports to the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: USD $85,000 - $115,000 yearly.
- Participation in the Company’s benefit programs coincident or following the first of the month in which you are hired.
- Immediate eligibility to participate in the Company’s 401K Retirement Plan.

- Four (4) floating holidays annually.
- Seven (7) company observed holidays paid.
