About the Role

AECOM is hiring an Environmental Remediation Project Manager to lead internal and external responsibilities from our Austin, TX location. In this hybrid role, you will work directly with Remediation Consulting department managers to achieve strategic objectives on major accounts, applying your technical and project management expertise to deliver a better world.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the preparation of work plans and organize project studies.
  • Interface directly with the technical project manager and project team to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Understand and incorporate client requirements in project management, including commercial contract terms, change management processes, and financial performance KPIs.
  • Use prescribed client and AECOM tools to track and manage the financial aspects of projects.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and meet budgetary objectives, adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant environmental remediation experience and/or demonstrated equivalency.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • This role is subject to a background check and Motor Vehicle Records check.

Nice to Have

  • 15+ years of experience in site investigation and remediation.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Prof. Eng./Geologist, Chartered Eng./Geologist, PMP, etc.).
  • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Experience successfully managing environmental projects for various types of clients.
  • Detail orientation with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
  • Strong local TCEQ and/or Gulf Coast state regulatory experience.
