Zip is hiring an Enterprise Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales)

About the Role

Zip is looking for an Enterprise Solution Engineer to be the primary pre-sales technical point of contact for our solution suite. Your role is to champion Zip, helping prospects understand how our application delivers value and fits within their procurement and technical landscape. You'll partner closely with our sales team to foster collaborative relationships and drive deals to closure.

What You'll Do

  • Actively contribute to sales efforts by supporting customer-facing conversations, conducting discovery, demonstrating solutions, and overcoming objections.
  • Own the response to customer asks, including follow-up questions, demos, and RFx or IT security questionnaires.
  • Build and develop custom demos that match specific customer requirements.
  • Lead, scope, and partner with Post-Sales to deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Partner with the Sales team to deliver on our sales objectives.
  • Partner with Post-Sales Solutions Consultants to ensure a seamless transition from sale to onboarding.
  • Deliver feedback on processes and products to help us grow and evolve.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospective customers, giving them confidence Zip can address their pain points.
  • Funnel customer feedback to influence our product development efforts.
  • Provide input to adapt and improve our sales motion as it evolves with our growth.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a solution selling environment or in a similar role with transferable skills.
  • Experience selling to F500 clients and cross-functional decision makers, including C-level executives.
  • Strong solution selling skills with the ability to articulate the value of software solutions.
  • Familiarity with the procurement and billing/AP space.
  • Excellent discovery skills to lead customers through focused conversations that uncover pain points and value.
  • Knowledge of key principles of software integrations, including integration platforms and APIs.
  • A strong solutioning mindset focused on helping customers envision how our solution meets their needs.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Self-starter who can quickly grasp new technology.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with demoing, implementing, or administering key applications such as ERPs (Oracle, Ariba, Workday), CLMs, GRC, or procurement/AP automation platforms.
  • Industry and/or solutioning experience with P2P/Fin-tech tools related to procurement, AP automation, or payments.
  • Integration or development experience, especially with using REST APIs and middleware tools.

Team & Environment

You will partner closely with account executives, sales managers, and Post-Sales Solutions Consultants.

  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $180,000 - $210,000
