Smartsheet is hiring an Enterprise Account Executive for Strategic Accounts to lead the execution of our sales strategy and rapidly expand a defined set of Global 2000 accounts. In this high-profile role, you will drive executive engagement, sell solutions, and deliver substantial growth in software and services bookings for both new and existing customers, covering named accounts in the West territory.
What You'll Do
- Consistently exceed quarterly and annual software and services sales quotas.
- Provide account and selling team leadership, driving sales strategy and developing accounts over a multi-year horizon.
- Create and maintain actionable account plans.
- Drive a positive customer experience throughout the journey.
- Actively engage and sell to both Line of Business (LOB) functional areas and IT departments.
- Manage both transactional land/expand and value-based solution selling motions.
- Leverage MEDDICC during the sales process.
- Build and maintain relationships with VP+ and C-suite executives.
- Evangelize the functional and solution value of Smartsheet.
- Utilize data and PLG signals to drive sales strategies and decisions.
What We're Looking For
- 5-10+ years of enterprise (G2K) sales experience with complex software solutions.
- A proven track record of consistently exceeding quota.
- Minimum of 3+ years tenure in previous roles, demonstrating company loyalty and growth.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, build demand, and hunt in a defined territory.
- Strong experience in team-based strategic account planning, development, and execution.
- Enabled on a value selling methodology like Force Mgmt, Sandler, or Value Selling Framework.
- Executive presence with proven ability to engage with VP+ and C-suite executives.
- Strong desire for face-to-face customer engagement and willingness to travel 30%-50%.
- Data-driven, with a focus on leveraging PLG signals in sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- High emotional intelligence and mental agility.

- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Regional Director of Strategic Accounts and work as part of a team focused on expanding key enterprise accounts.
