GPTZero is seeking an English & Academic Writer to produce high-quality blog posts for our content library. In this role, you will research and write approximately 50 SEO-optimized blog posts over a 3-5 month engagement on topics central to academic writing.
What You'll Do
- Research and write SEO-optimized blog posts on English writing topics, including essay types, writing techniques, academic formats, and professional documents.
- Gather insights and real-world examples from communities like Reddit, student forums, and educator networks to create relatable and authentic content.
- Optimize content for target keywords, search intent, internal and external linking, and on-page SEO best practices.
What We're Looking For
- A strong English and academic writing background, including experience teaching, tutoring, or studying English composition at the university level.
- 2–5 years of professional content writing or copywriting experience with a portfolio of published work.
- A proven track record writing SEO content that ranks, including understanding keyword research, search intent, on-page optimization, and content structure.
- Excellent attention to detail, delivering clean, well-structured drafts that require minimal editing.
- Based in the United States or Canada.
Nice to Have
- Experience writing for EdTech, SaaS, or AI-related brands.
- Familiarity with AI writing tools and AI detection.
- A background in journalism, publishing, or editorial work.
- Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope, or SurferSEO.
Work Mode
