TensorOps is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a small but growing team of engineers in building scalable products from the ground up. You will balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic leadership, driving excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage, mentor, and conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews for a team of software engineers.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and rapid iteration.
- Provide architectural and design oversight while ensuring technical excellence.
- Participate in troubleshooting by digging into logs, reading code, and teaming up with developers.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Work closely with Product, QA, and Operations teams to align priorities.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of engineering experience and at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to energize teams and drive shared ownership of goals.
- Solid understanding of at least one technology within each stack: Backend (Java, Python, Go, Node.js), Frontend (JavaScript (React), TypeScript), Mobile (Swift (iOS), Kotlin (Android) or Flutter), Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Comfortable iterating quickly and adapting based on feedback.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kanban or Scrum.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Healthcare industry related experience.
- History of working with New Relic, Datadog, Splunk or other logging/monitoring tooling.
