Rockwell Automation is hiring an Engineering Manager, ESW to provide technical leadership to a team supporting product development. You will foster collaboration across Engineering, Product Management, Business, Project Management, and Quality, motivating and mentoring the team to achieve common goals.

What You'll Do

Lead a team of 10 - 15 engineers (embedded software/firmware and test engineers).
Manage, coach, and hold the team accountable for achieving goals and meeting commitments.
Ensure product development activities comply with corporate and business-level procedures.
Promote problem resolution, clarify ambiguities, and remove impediments.
Lead the team towards continuous improvement.
Encourage collaboration to achieve common goals.
Monitor project status and escalate issues.
Develop team technical competencies to ensure the team can support our needs.
Manage resource allocation to ensure the right resources are available for different business needs.
Identify and adopt best practices and lessons learned from internal and external sources.
Provide technical leadership, including driving problems toward resolution when encountering uncertainty or inflexibility.
Champion new ideas and projects, embracing challenges and striving for success.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 12 years of experience in embedded product development.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a people manager in product development.
Experience developing embedded software, including product verification and validation knowledge.
Experience guiding a team in analyzing and solving complex problems involving both hardware and firmware.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with people of all levels and across borders.
Ability to adapt quickly and respond to needs and strategic changes.
Great attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong passion for embedded engineering.
Strong desire for continuous improvement in applying best practices and modern technologies in embedded design.
Excellent work ethics, valuing quality, productivity, technical innovation, and creativity.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of hardware in high-speed digital and analog circuits.
Knowledge in Industrial Automation communication.
Knowledge of analysis tools, design guidelines, and best practices.
Agile/SAFe methodologies experience.
Cybersecurity/IEC 62443 experience.
IEC 61508 Functional Safety experience.
