Lead and grow a regional team of 12–14 field representatives responsible for advancing the reach and impact of a comprehensive vaccines portfolio. This leadership role focuses on strategic planning, performance management, and developing strong relationships across healthcare providers, retail networks, and internal cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor a field team through in-person and virtual coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development planning
- Analyze regional market dynamics to identify trends, opportunities, and key stakeholders including healthcare providers and decision-makers
- Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with regional goals, including budget oversight and territory optimization
- Strengthen partnerships with accounts and channel partners to enhance customer engagement and vaccine adoption
- Ensure consistent application of compliance standards and company policies across all field activities
- Leverage digital platforms and analytics tools—including 360-degree customer insights—to guide decision-making and improve outreach effectiveness
- Support marketing initiatives by evaluating field implementation and contributing to annual planning processes
- Build advocacy through relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and community stakeholders
- Promote a culture of accountability, feedback, and continuous improvement within the team
- Collaborate with integrated account teams to align cross-functional efforts and improve patient access
- Demonstrate advanced virtual communication skills, balancing face-to-face and digital interactions to maximize healthcare provider engagement
- Maintain up-to-date expertise on vaccines, disease states, and market developments to guide team performance
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least six years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales, including 3–5 years in a leadership capacity. Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence both peers and external groups is essential. Must reside within 50 miles of the assigned area and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license without any impaired driving incidents in the past seven years.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA or graduate degree, five or more years of people management experience, and prior work in vaccines or related therapeutic areas. Strong digital proficiency, strategic thinking, and experience in hybrid engagement models are highly valued.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, combining in-field visits with virtual interactions. Flexible time management is required to effectively engage healthcare professionals across a broad geography. Travel is expected as needed to support internal collaboration and external relationship development.
Technical Requirements
Proficiency with digital and virtual engagement platforms, sales data systems, and call reporting applications is necessary. Experience with advanced analytics tools and a demonstrated ability to apply insights to field strategy is expected.
