Kaufland e-commerce is looking for an Engineering Manager (all genders) - Backend Infrastructure to lead a platform team shaping our technical foundation. You'll join a dynamic international environment that merges a start-up mentality with large corporation opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Lead a highly skilled platform team shaping the technical foundation of the company.
- Shape backend architecture by providing guidelines, best practices, and evolving the shop monolith.
- Develop tooling and boilerplate code to empower other teams to build and manage backend services.
- Maintain and improve an existing mailing service for email templating and delivery.
- Support teams by providing a project-based IAM solution they can deploy independently.
- Advance team members' skills and careers and inspire them through purpose.
- Be responsible for the delivery of the IAM and Mailing product, balancing time, budget, and quality.
- Develop, monitor, and own relevant KPIs for your teams, such as cost, SLAs, and SLIs.
- Contribute to guidelines, policies, and standards to improve how we work.
What We're Looking For
- A background in a product team, focusing on technical solutions and owning products end-to-end.
- Several years of hands-on engineering experience in Golang.
- Knowledge of PHP.
- Experience with utilizing cloud and infrastructure resources and familiarity with tools like Kubernetes.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Fluent in English (C1 level).
- A results-oriented approach with a dedicated focus on delivering top-notch solutions.
Nice to Have
- Initial leadership experience through mentoring, coaching, or in a managerial position.
