The Role
As the Engineering Manager for AI Orchestration, you'll lead the team responsible for developing the core intelligence infrastructure of League's AI platform. Your team constructs the product layer connecting users to advanced intelligence systems, managing conversation states, tool execution, and transforming raw model outputs into meaningful healthcare interactions.
You are a pragmatic leader understanding that successful AI product development requires software engineering discipline combined with data science flexibility. You'll manage a diverse team of AI Engineers, software developers with AI expertise, and data scientists passionate about production implementation.
Beyond direct team management, you'll serve as a delivery lead for the broader AI group, introducing structural rigor, agile methodologies, and operational excellence to synchronize Model Training research with Product Engineering delivery.
In this role, you will:
Team Leadership & Product Delivery
- Manage and mentor a high-performance AI Engineering team, cultivating rapid iteration and value delivery
- Own the AI Orchestration layer's comprehensive delivery, including agent routing, conversation state management, and tool routing infrastructure
- Translate complex architectural visions into actionable sprint tasks, ensuring strategic alignment
- Conduct regular performance and career development discussions
Agile Process & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Establish and facilitate agile ceremonies across the AI organization
- Identify and manage dependencies between AI Models and Application teams
- Create internal technical planning and documentation processes
Architecture & Strategy
- Collaborate with VP of AI Architecture to define agent interaction patterns
- Leverage expertise in complex, stateful user applications
- Drive strategic headcount and recruiting efforts
About You:
- 5+ years of software application development experience
- Proven leadership in team scaling and engineering culture establishment
- Strong process management skills
- Experience with state management and event-driven architectures preferred
- Solid Software Engineering foundation required

Compensation Range for Canada: $142,900 - $214,300 CAD
