Augmented Energy is hiring an Engineering Lead to scale our energy management platform to handle thousands of concurrent tasks. You will architect our backend, build scalable event-driven systems, and establish our core engineering practices.

What You'll Do

Architect and build the platform backend, including data model, business domain, and application interfaces.
Scale up event-driven and real-time systems to handle high throughput.
Craft a highly reliable production platform with comprehensive metrics, tracing, and logging.
Develop the company culture around automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines.
Advocate for good code quality assurance and eliminate early technology debt.
Guide other software engineers in best practices, oversee code reviews, and collaborate with data scientists.

What We're Looking For

10+ years track record as a software engineer designing and scaling up distributed applications.
Exemplary Python coding abilities and excellent knowledge of common python idioms and libraries.
High scalability experience, including being a tech leader on scaling systems to thousands of requests/events per day.
Startup-type experience, having worked at a startup or high growth company.
Collaboration-first mentality, with a willingness to teach as well as learn from others.
