About the Role

Deel is hiring a Payroll Implementation Manager to oversee the successful implementation and data migration of Polish payroll systems for our clients. In this role, you will lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer, proper system configuration, and a seamless transition. We’re building the infrastructure for the future of work and enabling a more diverse and inclusive global economy.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of a global payroll system, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Work with the onboarding team and clients to organize and run kick-off meetings and deliver the implementation.
  • Create, maintain, and manage project plans for successful client roll-outs.
  • Support project review calls, coordinating and delivering on project streams.
  • Define and set up agreed client payroll processes, establishing all payroll and data requirements.
  • Oversee the migration of payroll data from legacy systems, ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • Define, agree, and configure all interfaces, reports, and system configurations for successful parallel and live payroll runs.
  • Generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data.
  • Ensure all payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws, keeping up-to-date with any changes.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive testing plan to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all payroll project matters for the client, scheduling and attending weekly status calls.
  • Provide regular status reporting to senior leadership and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, status reports, and process documentation.
  • Implement change management strategies to ensure a seamless transition for employees and HR teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance in Poland.
  • Experience with payroll systems and software.
  • Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
