SEKISUI Aerospace was looking for an Engineering Estimator II

SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Estimator II to join our team. You will prepare detailed cost summaries, develop program budgets, and analyze data to support strategic bid solutions for our aerospace manufacturing projects.

What You'll Do

  • Develop conceptual cost estimates for new product development by collaborating with design teams
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
  • Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists
  • Conduct special studies to develop standard hour and cost data and formulate industrialization strategies
  • Consult with clients, purchasing, and vendors to formulate estimates and resolve issues
  • Complete capital expenditure (CapEx) models for project evaluation
  • Conduct post-job profitability reviews and prepare reports for leadership

What We're Looking For

  • Analytical skills to compute and factor data for management purposes like planning, scheduling, and bid preparation
  • Ability to conduct special studies for developing standard cost data and implementing cost reductions
  • Consultation skills to interact with clients and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues
  • Reasoning skills to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables
  • 1+ year in a similar estimating role
  • Experience with 3-D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Inventor) to derive material usage and labor requirements from digital designs
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field preferred
