WSP USA Inc. is looking for a Engineer - Structures to join our team and contribute to the delivery of key structural engineering projects. You'll work collaboratively under the supervision of a senior or project engineer, applying your technical skills to design and analysis.
What You'll Do
- Follow document control and QA processes for project work, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are issued and filed appropriately.
- Assist in compiling design specifications within deadlines, checking compliance with the project brief through calculations and manufacturer literature cross-reference.
- Organize and carry out detailed design to WSP in India and B Regulations standards, ensuring CDM, QA, and technical review sign-off, including complex calculations and coordination.
- Organize and undertake technical calculations to industry standards, supervise team members' work to ensure delegated work meets deadlines/standards, and report issues to the project leader.
- Prepare elemental work for project budget costing as delegated by senior team members within agreed deadlines and standards.
- Handle day-to-day queries from the WSP team, ensuring relevant information is available on time for construction activity.
- Contribute to and question technical and construction issues and help trainees better understand the design process.
- Determine appropriate software for Computer Aided Design, construct models, and undertake analysis and manual checks.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Working towards Membership of an accredited engineering body.
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with ETABS and SAFE software.
