Work as part of a team under the supervision of a senior or project engineer to deliver engineering projects, performing structural design tasks, technical computations, and adhering to quality and documentation requirements.
Responsibilities
- Adhere fully to document control and quality assurance procedures, ensuring proper issuance, filing, and archiving of drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
- Support the preparation of design specifications within set deadlines, verifying alignment with project requirements through calculations and referencing manufacturer literature, while applying relevant standards and guidelines.
- Plan and execute detailed structural design work in compliance with WSP in India and B Regulations, ensuring adherence to CDM, quality assurance, and technical review processes, with final sign-off by the project leader, including complex calculations and coordination.
- Organize and perform technical calculations according to industry standards in collaboration with team members, supervise assigned tasks to ensure timely and quality delivery, and report any issues, risks, or client changes to the project leader.
- Prepare elemental cost estimates for project budgets as assigned by senior team members, meeting agreed deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Respond to daily technical inquiries from the internal team to ensure timely availability of information for construction activities.
- Engage in technical and construction discussions, challenge assumptions, and support trainees in understanding the design process.
- Select appropriate software for computer-aided design, build structural models, conduct analysis, and perform manual verification checks.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and be progressing toward membership in an accredited engineering institution.
- Have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with ETABS and SAFE software.
