AECOM is hiring an Engineer - Rail Civils

AECOM is looking for a Senior Engineer - Rail Civils to join our global Enterprise Capabilities team. In this role, you will perform design and engineering work on UK Rail projects, focusing on civil and structural engineering. You'll partner with regional and global project teams on work that is transforming the rail industry.

What You'll Do

  • Perform specific portions of broader assignments and independently complete primary design elements for engineering works.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures.
  • Work on detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.
  • Propose approaches to solve new problems and identify discrepancies in results.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.

What We're Looking For

  • Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of design experience in structural engineering.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the UK Rail industry with experience in Station structures, platforms, and lineside infrastructure.
  • Multi D coordination experience on railway projects.
  • Experience in leading a small team of Engineers and CAD personnel.
  • Design experience in both Concrete and Steel.
  • RC detailing and BBS check experience.
  • Design experience in general civils work like foundations (pile, raft, pad) and retaining walls.
  • Experience in design/assessment of Steel footbridges, stairs, and lift shafts.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the global Enterprise Capabilities team, partnering with regional and Global Business Line project teams. This role is based in Bengaluru or Gurugram.
