Responsibilities
- Lead project teams through the development of preliminary engineering, detailed design, and quantification of transportation projects.
- Ensure deliverables and quality standards are met in accordance with the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage and support internal and client cross-functional teams.
- Leverage existing relationships and new client and consultant relationships in the pursuit of new work.
- Actively participate in professional societies, organizations, and conferences by serving on boards, presenting at luncheons or conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Active PE License in Ohio and Texas.
- Ability and willingness to obtain PE licensure in other states through comity.
- 15 or more years of experience in transportation design (strong preference for bridge experience).
- Must be able to travel 5-10% to client sites.
- Software Experience Includes: MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer, Finite Element software (examples include LARSA, MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, Staad-Pro, MDX), Merlin-Dash, Bentley OpenBridge Suite, HEC-RAS, and MS Office
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals.
- Interest in unique challenges requiring creative solutions.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of ODOT Project Development Process, construction documentation & administration and knowledge in state, local municipalities design process is a plus.
