What You'll Do
Design and implement manufacturing methods, processes, and equipment for new product programs, aligning with customer and production requirements. Analyze workflow, equipment utilization, and plant layout to maximize efficiency and meet capacity targets. Collaborate with engineering and program teams to ensure product designs support manufacturable, standardized processes.
Develop detailed process documentation including process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, reverse PFMEAs, and manufacturing bills of materials. Establish preventive maintenance plans for equipment and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Support key milestones such as run-at-rate events, PPAP submissions, and customer MRDs by verifying process readiness.
Apply Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve ergonomics, and enhance workflow. Use statistical analysis to troubleshoot and refine production processes. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing best practices and lessons learned. Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards through defined responsibilities and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering
- At least one year of experience in a production or process engineering role
- Proficiency in GD&T and technical drawing interpretation
- Working knowledge of AUTOCAD and OMNEX project management tools
- Understanding of PFMEA and reverse PFMEA methodologies
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement practices
- Competence in core quality tools and problem-solving techniques
- Completion of client-required training programs as needed
