Gilead Sciences, Inc. is hiring an Engineer III, Process Technologies and Development to apply engineering principles to the design, development, and validation of sterile drug product manufacturing processes. This role is central to advancing Gilead's portfolio by solving complex technical challenges and supporting a state-of-the-art engineering lab.
What You'll Do
- Apply fundamental engineering principles to design, develop, scale-up, and validate processes for sterile drug product unit operations.
- Work on operations including refrigerated/frozen storage and handling of bulk solutions, dissolution of APIs, sterile filtration, filling, lyophilization, and vial capping for both small and large molecule parenterals.
- Support and solve extremely complex technical problems related to sterile processing engineering.
- Execute studies and author reports for container closure system compatibility and manufacturing process development.
- Maintain a state-of-the-art sterile process engineering lab.
- Represent the group on cross-functional project teams.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of relevant experience and a BS or BA degree.
- OR 4+ years of relevant experience and an MS degree.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and error-free technical documents.
- Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine and take appropriate action.

- Compensation range: $117,895.00 - $152,570.00.
