Mass General Brigham is hiring a PACU RN for its MGB Internal Resource Pool based at Mass Eye and Ear. You'll be accountable for interpreting medical care plans, assessing patients, and providing safe, competent, and individualized nursing care. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with 10-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, with no weekends, call, or major holidays required.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse with a valid MA RN License.
- 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
- Knowledge of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at 800 Huntington Avenue.
