Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX Corporation, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Partnership Program Officer (PPO) team. In this remote role based in Puerto Rico, you will ensure accurate valuation of engine program components, troubleshoot production issues, and recommend manufacturing improvements.
What You'll Do
- Establish baseline part value allocations using the Bill of Materials (BOM) and assign contract values.
- Identify and track new parts introduced through validated Engineering Changes for each engine program.
- Collaborate with finance to allocate values to engine components and determine partners’ shares.
- Identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements using data analysis and industry best practices.
- Provide regular updates to the PPO on part values, risk factors, and mitigation strategies.
- Identify and report risks in part valuation to ensure accurate partner share calculations.
- Update and maintain production process plans and manufacturing work instructions.
- Analyze and provide recommendations for improving manufacturing processes.
- Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences, and required training.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives using CORE tools and support AS9100D efforts.
- Support project management activities.
- Communicate in English (read, write, speak) with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
- Support other duties and travel up to 10% as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- The selected candidate must reside in Puerto Rico.
Nice to Have
- Experience in MS Office suite, managing data and complex formulas in Excel.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and adhering to specific timetables.
- Knowledge in data analysis tools such as Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for managing Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for understanding engineering drawings.
