Capgemini is seeking an Engineer to be the primary contact for customers, delivering high-level service and engagement. You will pre-empt, investigate, and resolve incidents while managing IT hardware, with onsite customer interaction at our Barrow In Furness location.
What You'll Do
- Be the first point of contact for customers, delivering the highest level of customer service and engagement.
- Liaise continuously with customers onsite to ensure smooth communication and efficiently resolve queries.
- Provide advice on user best practices, identify and mitigate repeatable issues, and create knowledge base articles.
- Resolve Incidents and Service Requests to SLA using tools such as Service Now and Intune.
- Manage IT hardware accurately using a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Active Directory (AD).
What We're Looking For
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and technical teams at all levels.
- Ability to work within a busy environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think outside the box.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS (10 and 11) and the Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
- Understanding of IT hardware, predominately desktops and laptops, as well as other mobile technologies, printers, peripherals, and network fundamentals.

- Interest in automation scripting technologies.
