Salesforce is looking for an Engagement Delivery Manager (Project Manager) to supervise the production of work and ensure the success of our customers through sophisticated enterprise technical projects. You will be responsible for managing project scoping, contracts, budget, and knowledge transfer while working closely with both technical and non-technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Create and lead project plans, supervise progress and timelines, adjust schedules as needed, and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.
- Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery while accurately adhering to project gates and governance.
- Track utilization of project resources and run this against resource allocation and budget, including on-time entry and approvals for timesheets.
- Handle the day-to-day execution of project implementations, assisting with planning, tracking, documentation, and status updates.
- Lead one or two large projects or a few small-to-medium interrelated projects requiring sophisticated multi-functional collaboration.
- Act as the primary customer interface during a project, performing management activities consistent with Salesforce methodology.
- Facilitate and own the creation of Salesforce technical design documents for sophisticated projects by working with Technical Architects and Developers.
- Provide hands-on configuration and customization of the Salesforce product.
- Embrace a standardized development lifecycle methodology for all projects.
- Facilitate review sessions with the client and your team.
- Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication, and organizational change.
- Write and review QA and UAT test scripts as vital.
- Handle UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance signoff.
- Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements.
- Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders by providing vision and future product road mapping.
- Have difficult conversations regarding budget, resources, and timeline and formally collect and communicate outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- PMP/PMI Certification and Scrum Master Certification.
- 5-10 years of experience in a Project Management role, with proven experience leading external client projects.
- Proven experience in delivering business consulting and systems development in positions of increasing responsibility.
- Experience implementing enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Experience with defining and running customer-specific Development Operations and Managed Services projects.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills with direct responsibility for running project teams, budget, and schedule.
- A demonstrated history of delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.
- Effective social skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates.
- Ability to lead both small and enterprise-wide engagements, facilitate meetings, mentor junior team members, and effectively lead customer concerns.
- Ability to handle and connect with remote developers during non-traditional business hours.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.
- Must be able to travel.
- Salesforce experience.
Nice to Have
- CRM and Salesforce.com implementation experience preferred.
- Commerce (digital and physical store), point of sale, and omni implementation experience preferred.
- Salesforce.com Certifications (Admin, Consultant, Developer) preferred but not vital.
