About the Role
The Employee Relations Advisor will provide expert advice and support on all aspects of employee relations. This includes handling complex cases, conducting investigations, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across the business.
Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and effective employee relations advice to HR teams and managers
- Lead and conduct fair, thorough, and confidential workplace investigations
- Support disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and internal policies
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and outcomes
- Identify trends in employee relations issues and recommend preventative actions
- Assist with the development and delivery of HR policies and procedures
- Provide guidance during organizational change and restructuring
- Collaborate with HR partners to ensure consistent employee relations practices
- Support employee engagement initiatives and conflict resolution strategies
- Prepare reports and dashboards for HR and senior leadership
- Advise on attendance management and capability concerns
- Promote a culture of fairness, transparency, and accountability
- Ensure documentation meets legal and audit requirements
- Work with external legal counsel when necessary
- Deliver training to managers on employee relations topics
- Support trade union interactions where applicable
- Handle sensitive employee data in line with data protection rules
- Contribute to HR projects and process improvements
- Act as a point of escalation for complex employee cases
